Next in line is about more than showing your athletic ability. we focus on the full athlete.
next in line is one FULL-DAY EVENT FEATURING WOMEN’S HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES FROM THE CLASSes OF 2028 AND 2029. SCHEDULE is SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Athletes and their invited supporters will check in with our welcome staff. Registrants will receive their jerseys, shirts, and other swag. Athletes are allowed access to locker rooms to change into their uniform and prep for the day.

Athletes will gather on basketball courts while their supporters are welcome to sit in the stands. After a quick welcome and overview of the schedule, we’ll start with a yoga session to get ready for the day, both mentally and physically.

Athletes can use this time to participate in structured shootarounds to prepare for the day.

Scouts and collegiate coaches are welcomed into the facility. Athletes participate in a combine in small groups. This combine will have athletes clock their speed in a 40 yard dash, a vertical jump test, dribbling drills, and shooting drills. Each athlete will complete the combine twice.

Lunch break. Next In Line will provide meals and drinks to attending athletes and their supporters. Attending collegiate scouts/coaches are permitted to ask athletes if they can speak with them during this time.

Next In Line athletes will compete in a 3-on-3 basketball game against other athletes in their class. Each team will have 6 players, with each player actively on the court for half of the game. Games will be a full four quarters: 8 minute quarters, 24 second shot clock, 10 minute halftime, no overtime.
Coaches and scouts will be in the audience. Athlete supporters are also permitted to watch, following a spectator code of conduct.

Athletes will take a short rest with small group stretching sessions offered.

Next In Line athletes will participate in another 3-on-3 basketball game, this time with a new team. Each athlete will play half of the game. Games will follow the same quarter times, shot clocks, and half time.
Scouts, coaches, and supporters are all permitted to watch, following a spectator code of conduct.

Athletes will attend breakout sessions that cover athlete mental health, scholarship processes, and parent/guardian support conducted by accredited professionals. During this time, dinner will be provided for athletes and their attending supporters.

Awards will be given out to top performers.

Leading up to the showcase, attending coaches and scouts will be able to request to meet with athletes. Next In Line staff will arrange for the times and locations within the venue to facilitate private meetings as requested.
